The Air Show - May 26

We have a tradition at our house of planning really fun adventures and having them turn into colossal flops... I mean really big failures!  Click on the links below for a few examples to remind you of what I mean.
The amount of fun we think it will be somewhat equal the amount of tears that are shed when it doesn't work out.  I think Jonathan is finally getting used to our "Adams Adventures" but Aaron is just getting started.  This year we decided to go up to the air show.  (Yes, that's right, Aaron was just one month old at the time.  It's what we call good parenting at our house.)  Michael and I had the conversation about how it was supposed to rain but when we woke up it was a nice day.  As we started driving up to Ogden the clouds started gathering.  As we walked the mile from our car to the venue it started to sprinkle and when we finally arrived it decided to turn into a torrential downpour with freezing wind.  We took cover under the wing of a plane but soon realized that was not going to be enough as Aaron was in his stroller screaming at the top of his lungs.  We then pushed our way onto the cargo plane and decided to wait it out.  After about 45 min of waiting it out we decided we should just run for it.  We strapped Aaron to Michael's chest and covered Jonathan the best we could and ran for the car.  We made good time only stopping once to take a picture of Jonathan sleeping through the whole mess.  We finally reached our car in time to hear the announcement that the next Blue Angels flight show (or one of the other groups, we couldn't tell because the speaker was pretty bad.) had been cancelled.  We got in our car just in time to wait another hour to move about 400 yards.  After the hour Michael pulled an illegal u-turn and as we continued the next 800 yards off the base we saw the weather clear up and the air show resume.  Welcome to a life full of "Adams Adventures" Aaron.  We hope you are made of sturdy enough stuff to survive.
The boys under the wing of the plane trying to stay warm and dry.  (Aaron's in the brown stroller crying his eyes out.)
The family once we were safe and warm in the cargo plane.
One the way back to the car.  (Aaron is now the growth on Michael's chest.)
Finally safe and warm in our car.
(Poor Aaron is not our most photographed child.  I promise he was with us... even though you never see him.)
