Oh Danny Boy

This weekend we had the chance to hang out with Michael's family. California came up for Michael's nephew's, Danny, baby blessing. Michael's Dad, Jayne and Grandma Adams arrived on Friday evening. The rest of the family, which included Michael's Mom, Ron, Nathan and Tytus arrived Saturday afternoon. The Whitney's were still staying at our house so we were full but Tytus managed to find a place on the couch and everyone else spread out far and wide for lodging.

Saturday afternoon we met up with the group from Michael's mom's car at Liberty Park (although Nathan disappeared trying to find someone to speak Russian to, and ended up watching some guys play bocci). We walked around the park for awhile and then Tytus stayed with us and everyone else headed to Amy's for dinner. We made a trip to the DI downtown to try and find some treasures. We didn't find anything but the lights in the store really helped to show the definition of Michael's six pack. After that we headed off to dinner and then home to chat it up.

Sunday we headed over to Amy and Kenneth's ward for the blessing of baby Danny. It was a beautiful blessing and it was nice to have all of Michael's siblings present. The post-blessing party took place at our house since our backyard is set up to accommodate large amounts of people. After the party ended, all of the Adams kids (and spouses who were present) loaded into the family van with Grandma Adams for a tour of her childhood stomping grounds. It was fun to hear all of the stories from her childhood and see where the events actually took place. We were able to get some video as well as some pictures. We ended the night with talking and games. It is always fun spending time getting to know Michael's family better since we don't get to see them too often.
