A Tree Removed in Salt Lake City

Jonathan watching the big truck going up, up, up.
How have you been spending your week so far?  We finally had to cut down the big tree in our backyard.  It is really sad and we miss the shade so much already.  While it has been a sad couple of days to have to say good-bye to the tree it has been some of the happiest days of Jonathan's life.  This is how he spent his days... although he did have pants on most of the time.  (He just likes to take his pants off now and again and it happened to be right before I took this picture.)

The removal took two and a half days and we would recommend our tree guys to anyone looking to have a tree removed.  Most of the pieces that came off were bigger than actual trees on the street.  We only had a couple of limbs almost crash into our neighbors house... real heart stoppers.  I guess all we have left to do is to re-plant a new tree somewhere in our yard.

One of the smaller limbs. You can see it's taller than some of the street trees.
The boys at the end of the first day.
Another viewing location for Jonathan was our kitchen window.
Our repelling tree cutter.
Some of the cuts were so heavy they almost broke the truck and trailer.
