Locks of Fun!

Back on Friday, Sept 5th we were able to steal my niece and nephew Melanie & Ben for a fun filled night of IHOP and The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (Often called the Ballard Locks. The Locks link the salty Puget Sound with the fresh waters of Salmon Bay, Lake Union, Portage Bay and Lake Washington.) We had so much fun as we enjoyed an IHOP treat (their pick) and a crazy drive to the Locks. We hit traffic on the drive but they kept themselves entertained with the old newspaper they found under Michael's car seat and Ben's willingness to harass passersby. (They also kept us quite entertained.) We had a great time at the Locks as we visited the Salmon fish latter and watched the boats go through the locks. We finished off the night with an ice cream treat and the trip back to Tacoma. They are at the great age of crazy! We had such a good time.

I got to visit the locks when we were in Seattle over the 4th of July weekend. So awesome! I loved watching the water lower and rise for the boats.
