Christmas Eve - Dec 24th

We spent Christmas Eve with Michael's mom and siblings. We all brought different parts of Christmas dinner and had a delicious feast. Michael and I were in charge of the mashed potatoes. We decided to make them roasted garlic mashed potatoes and they turned out pretty tasty... even though we made way too many. I have to say that the turkey stole the show. Karen, Michael's sister-in-law, made the most wonderful turkey. I'm not sure how she did it except she said she started marinating it 2 days in advance. It was so tasty!!! Everything turned out perfect and the whole meal was devoured.

After dinner Michael's mom had some fun crafts for us to do and then we exchanged some gifts. Jonathan got his second Afghan from his Grandma (although this was the first one we will actually let him use since his other one is white). The heart squares form the letter J for Jonathan. It will keep him warm for many nights to come.
After everything was done we headed home to get in bed early so Santa could come. It was a great Christmas Eve!
