This is the End
We have done it. Everyone thought that we were crazy insane before when we didn't have it. "What do you do without a TV?!" they all gasped. We didn't want to, but the Olympics are coming up, and we really want to be able to watch them. And so we gave in. We are sure that you are all so excited for us now. "Now they can be normal people - sitting around all evening long, staring at a box -- just like us." Unfortunately the picture is really clear with HDTV, even on this old TV. And we get all sorts of extra channels because each channel has about two or three substations. Don't worry--we will put it away when there is not something specific that we want to watch...or at least we hope.

Hehe...that last winter olympics was the reason we bought a tv antenna. Before that we'd store the tv in the pantry out of the way and only brought it out to watch movies. With the antenna (which was amplified) we actually got the basic stations (plus like 5 religious channels, which is what you get, I guess, for living in the midwest), so that was nice...nice to be able to put our feet up on the evenings when we didn't feel much like doing anything else. Anyway, have fun with yours! Our tv will really only be worth much until February...we'll decide then whether or not to invest in HD. (And no, getting the converter isn't really worth it...our tv is dying anyway.)
